Brazilian striker Brandao dedicated the strike at Caen that kept Marseille third in Ligue 1 to his family, the club and OM’s fans. His first goal for his new team means he has started to pay back Marseille’s six million euro investment in him.
“I’m very happy. I hoped to score. I dedicate this goal to my family and, above all else, to OM,” said the 28-year-old. “I want to thank God. I am happy because all the effort I have put in is paying off.
“Now we just have to carry this form into the next home game. I am really happy, especially for all the fans who came up from Marseille for the game.”
