French giants Marseille are closing in on Valenciennes winger Mamadou Jean-Luc Diarra Dompe, according to Le 10 Sport.
Having offloaded several high earners this summer, OM aim to further cut back spending and focus on recruiting talented players in hope of selling them for profit, and the new transfer strategy has seen the club show interest in the 19-year-old footballer.
Jean-Luc Dompe has rejected another contract offer and is set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the current month.
Marseille officials believe the youngster has what it takes to develop into a quality footballer and they are set to offer him a long-term deal.
After spending a couple of years playing for the reserves, Dompe was promoted to the first team set-up at the start of last season and he went on to make 17 appearances in French Ligue 2, before representing France at the Toulon Youth Tournament.
