According to the press reports in France, Marseille are on the verge of signing Brazil World Cup star Luis Fabiano from Sevilla.
Even though the Brazilian has reiterated his desire to remain at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, he is now very close to signing a contract with Ligue 1 champions Marseille.
The negotiations between the two clubs have entered the closing stages, and if nothing unusual happens, Luis Fabiano will be a Marseille player before the weekend.
With the arrival of world-class forward like Fabiano, the club will finally allow Mamadou Niang to leave for Fenerbahce in a deal that would see OM earn around 10 million euros.
This is not the perfect solution for boss Didier Deschamps, who wanted to pair the two players in attack, but the general impression is that the team will profit from the latest arrangements.
