Ligue 1 high-flyers Marseille have moved to confirm interest in Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik.
L’OM have put together a very good squad, but they still plan to sign another striker to challenge summer recruit Valere Germain for a starting berth.
Asked about the possibility of signing Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli, Marseille boss Rudi Garcia revealed there has been “no contact”, but then admitted “it is a good idea”.
With Dries Mertens impressing in the central role, the Polish footballer has struggled for playing time at Stadio San Paolo and he may consider a summer exit.
“We are working and we will succeed in relieving Valere Germain,” Rudi Garcia said after the 1-0 triumph over Nantes.
“You have to take the right opportunity. I know him (Milik). He started off exceptionally well with Napoli before injuring himself, but for now he is a Napoli player.”
Arkadiusz Milik, 23, scored 5 goals in just 4 Serie A starts, while bagging another 3 Champions League goals.
