Marseille are keeping close tabs on Nantes defender Papy Djilobodji, L’Equipe has revealed.
With Nicolas N’Koulou heavily linked with a big club move and Souleyman Diawara’s contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign, OM are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements.
According to L’Equipe, the French giants have made Nantes stopper Papy Djilobodji one of their primary targets.
The 25-year-old has largely impressed in his first ever top flight season, producing some excellent defensive displays while also netting 3 times in 18 Ligue 1 outings.
He is widely regarded as one of league’s top centre backs, but the problem is Nantes value him at €20 million.
Marseille are, nonetheless, hoping to lower the asking price for the Senegalese as they continue to monitor the player’s performances with a view of stepping up their interest in the summer.
OM resume Ligue 1 campaign with a trip Gaillard, with Jose Anigo’s side 21/20 to defeat Evian.
