Marseille eyeing Stephan Lichtsteiner

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that French giants Marseille are readying January bid for Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.

In spite of the heavy summer recruitment, l’OM plan to further reinforce their squad in the winter and the Swiss defender has emerged as their top target.

Marseille sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta believes that Lichtsteiner would be a great addition to the squad and he will attempt to bring him to Stade Velodrome.

The good news is that the 33-year-old will be out of contract in June, meaning that he should be available for sale in January.

Stephan Lichtsteiner has been a loyal servant to Juventus for some six and a half years, having had an important role to play in club’s six consecutive Serie A trophies.
