French daily newspaper L’Equipe has suggested that Marseille are considering a move for Lille forward Yassine Benzia.
OM have stayed without quite a few important first team players this summer and they have finally started working on summer reinforcements.
Reports from France suggest that Zinedine Machach, Bafetimbi Gomis and Clinton N’Jie will soon arrive at Stade Velodrome, but the recruitment does not end there.
Namely, L’Equipe claims that Marseille have set their sights on Lille forward Yassine Benzia and they hope to agree a loan with an option to buy.
The Algerian footballer joined les Dogues in search of regular playing time after coming through the youth ranks at Lyon, and he did well to score 5 goals in 25 league outings for the club last season.
Marseille coaching staff believes Benzia would be a good addition to the squad considering that he can cover a number of positions up front, but it remains to be seen whether Lille will be prepared to let him go.
