France Football has suggested that Marseille may be forced to cash in on star midfielder Gianelli Imbula in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has developed into a key player at Stade Velodrome under Marcelo Bielsa, staring each of the 13 league fixtures this term and scoring 2 goals.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been keeping a close eye on Imbula with a view of luring him to English Premier League in the summer, and it appears Marseille will not be able to keep hold of their star player.
Namely, with the club going through serious financial difficulty, they would be powerless to resist a big money offer that is expected to arrive at the end of the season.
Marseille will then try and sign a cheaper alternative to Imbula, a player who is predicted a bright future in the game.
Imbula is currently playing for France Under-21 side, but it is only a matter of time before he is promoted to the senior national team.
