French media outlet Le 10 Sport has learned that Ligue 1 outfit Marseille have joined the chase to sign Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.
The Sweden international has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest commodities with quite a few top clubs casting admiring glances his way.
According to Le 10 Sport, Marseille, too, are keen on his services as their scouts watched the youngster in action in the Champions League clash against Napoli.
And even though it is believed that OM are not in the position to compete with the likes of Man Utd, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan for the player’s signature, they are not ready to give up just yet.
Lindelof recently stated that he was happy at Benfica for the time being, but that could change if one of the big clubs come calling.
The 22-year-old has so far made 28 Primeira Liga appearances for the Eagles.
