French giants Marseille appear to be in pole position to recruit Juventus defender Patrice Evra, according to France Football.
It is no secret that the veteran full-back has decided to quit the Bianconeri this month and he has another week to find a new club.
Lyon and Crystal Palace are some of the sides that have expressed interest in the 35-year-old footballer, but the latest reports suggest Marseille have emerged as frontrunners for his signature.
Namely, the OM chiefs have already offered the player an 18-month contract, while they are set to hold talks with his official representative Luca Bascherini as they hope to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible.
Evra has just six months left on his contract in Turin and chances are Juventus will not stand in his way of leaving the club.
The veteran defender has proved a very good signing for the club, having made 53 Serie A appearances since joining on a cut-price deal from Manchester United.
