Marseille interested in Morelos

According to a recent report from AS, Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos is wanted by Ligue 1 side Marseille. The expectation is that Mario Balotelli will end up leaving the club at the end of the current season, opening up a world of possibilities for them during the summer transfer window. It’s no secret that the 22 year old, who joined Rangers from HJK back in 2017, is interested in the idea of a move away – and Marseille seem to have a slot open for him.

However, in order to get the deal across the line, Rangers are going to require a fee of at least £20 million in order to agree on the sale. Marseille shouldn’t have all too many issues with raising the cash, but even with that being the case, there’s no way of getting around the fact that this is going to be a huge financial risk for them with a player that is unproven in the major European leagues.
