Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are considering a move for Valenciennes full-back Arthur Masuaku, reports L’Equipe.
New boss Marcelo Bielsa has yet to recruit his first player at Stade Velodrome, but it appears he has instructed club chiefs to launch an assault on the VAFC starlet.
And while Masuaku can cover every single position on the left hand side, the Argentine coach reportedly wants him to play as a left-sided midfielder at OM.
Marseille are not the only interested sides seeing as how Montpellier, Lens and Celta Vigo are keeping close tabs on the 20-year-old as well.
Masuaku had spent his youth career at Lens and Valenciennes, and he went on to impress in his debut season for the senior side.
The youngster didn’t need a lot of time to nail down a regular starting berth at VAFC, making a total of 27 Ligue 1 appearances last season and scoring one goal in the process.
