Ligue 1 giants Marseille are readying summer swoop for Barcelona midfielder Alexander Song, Le 10 Sport has revealed.
OM are set to complete a deal for Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis, and they hope to make the Cameroon star the second marquee signing of the summer.
Being in a difficult financial situation, Marseille will attempt to sign Song on a free transfer, with the player hoping to agree a mutual termination with Barcelona.
If the Catalans refuse to release him from his contract, OM will be looking to sign the 28-year-old on a season-long loan.
Alex Song is eager to secure regular first team football after struggling for playing time during the loan stint with West Ham, and he reportedly also has an offer from Rubin Kazan.
Despite impressing in his first season at Boleyn Ground, Song only made a total of 12 Premier League appearances for the Hammers last term.
