Marseille keen on Bordeaux starlet

Marseille are keeping close tabs on Bordeaux attacker Thomas Toure, Le Parisien has moved to suggest.

OM have seen Andre-Pierre Gignac, Andre Ayew, Dimitri Payet and Jeremy Morel leave this summer, and they have finally begun the summer recruitment.

Talented defender Karim Rekik joined from Manchester City, whereas Lucas Ocampos’ loan deal was turned into permanent move.

Marseille officials are now turning their attention towards finding a back-up for Michy Batshuayi and have expressed interest in Bordeaux youngster Thomas Toure.

However, les Girondins informed OM that the 21-year-old was not for sale, having only signed a new deal with the club in December.

Thomas Toure is the product of the Stade Chaban-Delmas youth academy and he has done really well since making his first appearance for the senior team in May 2014.

The talented forward went on to start 16 Ligue 1 matches last term, while featuring in another seven games as a substitute, and scored two goals in the process.
