Le 10 Sport claims that Marseille are considering a summer move for Real Sociedad midfielder Sergio Canales.
L’OM are expected to spend heavily in the upcoming transfer window and the former Real Madrid starlet is one of the players on their radar.
Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta plans to use his Spanish connections to try and persuade Canales to move to Stade Velodrome, which seems like a realistic possibility.
Namely, the attacking midfielder has another year left on his current deal and even though he has been offered a new one, the 26-year-old is unlikely to accept it.
Canales is far from happy with the lack of playing time having started mere 7 La Liga fixtures this term and a summer exit could be on the cards.
The cultured midfielder made another 24 substitute appearances, producing 4 assists in total this season.
