French giants Marseille are seriously considering a summer bid for Atletico Madrid forward Kevin Gameiro, according to Le 10 Sport.
It is no secret that l’OM plan to recruit a world-class centre forward in the summer transfer window as the heavy investment in the playing squad looks set to continue.
After both Patrice Evra and Dimitri Payet arrived at Stade Velodrome, Kevin Gameiro could be the third France international to join Marseille this year.
The 29-year-old is reportedly tempted by the opportunity to join l’OM considering that he has struggled for first team opportunities at Vicente Calderon.
Gameiro managed to score a total of 12 goals in 34 competitive appearances this term, but he only started 19 of those games.
It appears that the Frenchman is slowly getting frustrated by the lack of confidence shown by his current employers and he could jump at the opportunity to join Marseille and become a key player at Stade Velodrome.
