Marseille keen on PSG’s Chantome

French daily Le Parisien understands that Marseille are showing interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Clement Chantome.

OM officials aim to seriously reinforce the midfield department in the summer, with the 25-year-old one of their top targets.

Marseille are hoping the lure of first team football would help them persuade the highly rated midfielder to leave Parc des Princes.

Chantome has struggled for playing time this season and was often played out of position, so he might be interested in leaving in the summer.

PSG chiefs till value the player highly and will attempt to convince him to stay, but that will be no easy task.

Chantome is also followed by Lyon and clubs from England and Germany, so he may feel this is the right time to leave his current employers.

The midfielder has spent his entire career at Parc des Princes, clocking up 146 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring 5 goals in the process.
