La Provence is reporting that Marseille are considering a move for Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro.
OM have seen a number of key players leave this summer and while they managed to reinforce the back line and midfield, there has been an evident lack of attacking reinforcements.
But, even though the summer transfer window has closed in France, Marseille can still try and recruit free agents.
The latest reports suggest that OM are weighing up move for former Bayern Munich forward Claudio Pizarro, who is looking for a new club after leaving Allianz Arena.
Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune is not convinced that the 37-year-old has what it takes to challenge Michy Batshuayi for a starting berth, but seeing as how the club desperately need a centre forward, he could change his mind.
Claudio Pizarro remains one of the most prolific active players in world football, having scored 312 goals in 759 competitive matches.
