Marseille are ready to launch a fresh assault on Rennes winger Romain Alessandrini, La Provence has revealed.
The French giants were unsuccessful in their bid to sign the highly rated footballer in the winter transfer window, but they are set to return in the summer.
According to the player’s representatives, Alessandrini should be available for a fee of €10 million, which should be within Marseille’s price range.
Namely, OM plan to cash in on quite a few high-profile players as they look to rejuvenate the squad and they will have money to spend at the end of the season.
After impressing in his first season at Stade de la Route de Lorient, the 24-year-old has seen a small dip in form, but still managed 4 goals and as many assists in 19 Ligue 1 outings.
And with Rennes chiefs disappointed by his desire to join Marseille, chances are they will agree to sell him at the end of the current campaign.
