Marseille reignite interest in Balotelli

Mario Balotelli is edging closer to the end of his deal with Ligue 1 side Nice.

The Italian striker will be a free agent in the summer after it’s been confirmed that Nice would not offer a contract extension to the rebellious star.

French media claim Balotelli could very much remain in France as Olympique Marseille have once again set their sights on the Italian, after failing to grab him during the summer transfer window.

Marseille are set to lose Kostas Mitroglu this winter and the club hierarchy is on the lookout of a notable attacking reinforcement this winter.

Mario Balotelli has reportedly been identified as a marquee signing Marseille are going after even though the French side will face competition from Italy.

La Repubblica is reporting that Fiorentina are keen on bringing back former Inter Milan and AC Milan forward to Italy.

Balotelli has endured a difficult spell with Nice in 2018/19 and has yet to score a single goal in 10 Ligue 1 outings.
