Marseille officials are planning heavy summer recruitment, French newspaper La Provence understands.
The French giants have had their share of disappointments this season and instead of fighting for the title, OM are now battling for a top half finish.
The club chiefs are determined to create a squad capable of challenging for honours next season and they are already identifying summer targets.
According to La Provence, Marseille officials have several players on their shortlist, with Milan midfielder Mathieu Flaimini the only high-profile player on the list.
The 28-year-old, who started his career at Velodrome, will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, and Marseille have already established contact with the player’s representatives.
However, even if Flamini is interested in returning to Marseille, his high wage could prove to be a problem.
Other targets for the summer transfer window include Brest keeper Steve Elana, Havre hotshot Ryan Mendes and Caen midfielder Roman Hamouma.
