Marseille star linked with Premiership switch

Sky Sports has learned that a number of English Premier League sides are showing interest in Marseille midfielder Alaixys Romao.

The French giants are set to make serious changes to the playing squad in the summer and the experienced midfielder could be among those players expected to leave.

Sky Sports has suggested that the Togolese footballer has a long list of suitors in England’s elite division, with West Ham, Everton, Sunderland, Newcastle and Hull reportedly keen on his services.

Even if he still has more than two years left on his deal at Stade Velodrome, it is believed Romao will be available for as little as €3 million in the summer transfer window.

Romao has developed into an important member of the squad soon after joining from Lorient in January 2013. He has made a total 49 league appearances since, starting all of those games and was only subbed two times.
