The agent of Marseille forward Brandao has revealed that his client is negotiating with several Russian Premier League clubs.
The Brazilian striker is nearing the end of his deal at Velodrome and it is now clear that he won’t be offered a contract extension.
The 31-year-old is currently on holiday in Brazil, but his agent is working on finding him a new club.
The player’s representative now reveals that no less than three clubs from Russia are interested in the Brazilian.
“Discussions are ongoing with Rubin Kazan and two clubs from Moscow,” Frank Henouda told France Football.
“We also have contacts in the (Persian) Gulf, but there is nothing specific yet.”
According to France Football, the player prefers a move to Russia as he wouldn’t need a lot of time to adapt to the new surroundings having already played for Shakhtar Donetsk.
Rubin Kazan appear to be the favourites for the player’s signature and they are willing to offer him €1.5 million per season, although a return to Brazil remains an option as well.
The experienced forward has seen little playing time this season, and he scored just one goal in 17 Ligue 1 games.
