(GSM) – Defending Ligue 1 champions Olympique Marseille have made a bold move for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano by tabling a bid.
The 29-year-old forward, who scored three times for the Selecao at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa this summer, had been previously been linked with a move to Milan with Tottenham Hotspur also showing interest in signing him.
After a failed move to Italy and his commitment to the Primera Liga club, Marseille have made a move in to try and seal a big coup.
Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier told L’Equipe: “Fabiano is one of our goals and would strengthen Marseille dramatically. This is not an invention of the press.
“Fabiano is an objective that can allow Marseille to strengthen.”
