French giants Marseille are reportedly ready to offer €13 million for Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe.
After failing to defend the league title, OM chiefs are determined to create a squad capable of retaining the Ligue 1 trophy and they have already identified several targets.
As Dutch De Telegraaf reports, Marseille are preparing a €13 million bid for Royston Drenthe, who is set to return to Real Madrid after spending a year on loan at Hercules.
The Dutch winger started just 15 league games this season, as he missed a big part of the league campaign through injury and behaviour issues, and Real Madrid are now looking to sell as they don’t want the player to upset the balance of the squad.
Marseille look ready to offer Drenthe an escape route from Santiago Bernabeu, although it remains to be seen whether coach Didier Deschamps will manage to discipline the 24-year-old midfielder.
OM are also tracking Lorient midfielder Morgan Amalfitano and Valencia full-back Jeremy Mathieu.
