Marseille are expected to rekindle their interest in Toulouse hotshot Wissam Ben Yedder, Le 10 Sport has suggested.
OM failed in their attempts to recruit another striker to challenge Michy Batshuayi for a starting berth, having had a bid for le Tefece star rejected in the final hours of the summer transfer window.
Marseille now hope to launch another assault on the 24-year-old footballer in the January transfer window.
OM were unable to seriously reinforce the attacking department despite seeing Andre-Pierre Gignac, Andre Ayew, Dimitri Payet and Florian Thauvin leave the club, with Michy Batshuayi the only senior striker in the squad at the moment.
Talented footballers Billel Omrani and Jeremie Porsan-Clemente are also in the mix, but it is clear new coach Michel cannot rely too much on the two inexperienced forwards.
Meanwhile, Wissam Ben Yedder is a proven Ligue 1 goalscorer, having bagged 45 league goals in the previous three campaigns.
