According to Mirror, Juventus are closing in on signing Anthony Martial from Manchester United.
The French winger has seen his game-time at Old Trafford significantly reduced since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January, while Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata are also preferred in the wide attacking roles by manager Jose Mourinho. His place in the pecking order at the club did him no favors in his pursuit of a place in France’s World Cup squad and he eventually missed out.
The story about his potential departure from the club has been going back and forth for a while, with his agent recently confirming his desire to leave and then a strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur coming to light, before United expressed their own stance on the matter – that they want to keep the 22-year-old for themselves.
Now however, the Mirror report claims Martial might move to Juventus and that the transfer is already at the stage of personal terms being discussed between the player and the Turin giants. However, they quote reports in Italy saying no fee between the clubs has yet been agreed and expecting United to hold out for a sum of £80million.
