Martial rejects latest Manchester United offer

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has rejected the club’s latest contract extension offer – although talks are still ongoing as the two sides attempt to come to some kind of arrangement. The Frenchman’s future at Old Trafford has been up in the air for over a year now, and it still feels like we’re no closer to finding out one way or another whether or not he’ll stay in Manchester.

His current deal expires next summer with an extension option being available, although that would only take him forward to 2020. The youngster has been unable to lock down a consistent place in the first team under Jose Mourinho but has certainly shown signs of brilliance, with his brace against Chelsea helping to secure an unlikely point for United.

Martial has had interest from around Europe in the past, including from major clubs such as Italian giants Juventus.
