Juventus have announced on their official website that they have acquired the rights of defender Martin Caceres from Sevilla.
The Uruguayan defender joined the Bianconeri on loan last summer with an option to buy and the Italian giants have now exercised the clause.
The press release published on club’s official website revealed the transfer was worth €8 million, whereas the player signed a deal until June 2016.
Caceres largely impressed in his second stint at the club even though he was not always considered a first team regular.
The player’s versatility and ability to cover every position across defence helped him amass a total of 14 competitive appearances, scoring three goals in the process.
The highlight of the season for the Uruguayan was the Coppa Italia semi-final match against Milan at San Siro, when he scored two goals to help the Bianconeri come on the verge of qualifying for the final.
