Sky Italia is reporting that AC Milan are considering a move for free agent Martin Caceres due to a serious defensive crisis.
The Rossoneri have seen full-backs Luca Antonelli, Mattia De Sciglio and Davide Calabria all pick up injuries of late and they have no choice but to test the free agents market.
Considering that he can cover any position in the back four, former Juventus defender Martin Caceres looks like the obvious choice.
However, given that the Uruguayan last played a competitive game exactly a year ago, AC Milan officials want to ensure his fitness levels are good enough and will offer him a short trial.
Despite performing well for Barcelona, Juventus and Sevilla among other clubs, Caceres has been a free agent since last summer and even though quite a few top clubs were linked with the experienced defender, he remains on the lookout for new employers.
