Fulham manager Martin Jol is keen to add to his midfield and will dive into the free agent market to try and bring a new face in, that’s according to the Daily Telegraph.
Nigel Reo-Coker is the man that Jol is apparently an admirer of and he would like to bring him to Craven Cottage to boost his options in the middle of the park.
The summer transfer window saw Mousa Dembele, Clint Dempsey, Danny Murphy and Dickson Etuhu leave the Cottagers – leaving the Dutch manager fairly short in that area on the pitch.
Reo-Coker seemed to be after a move abroad after leaving relegated Bolton at the end of last season, but moves to both Hamburg and Seville fell through.
Now it looks as though the former Aston Villa man could make a return to the English Premier League and join Fulham.
His experience is sure to offer a great deal to Jol’s men, and if they can keep his wages fairly low – then it could be a fantastic bit of business from the London club.
Reo-Coker could be the perfect man to come in should Fulham be hit with a few injuries as they do not have much strength in depth.
