Ipswich Town have signed midfielder Lee Martin from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old, who spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Portman Road.
Town chief executive Simon Clegg said Martin could be a “major force” and brings “huge strengths” to the team.
Martin is Ipswich manager Roy Keane’s third season signing, following Damien Delaney and Troy Brown.
Martin told BBC Radio Suffolk: “It’s an important time in my career, it’s a decision that’s been on the cards for the last couple of years.
“I’ve come to an ambitious club and I want to do well.”
