FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez has moved to reveal that Napoli are showing interest in his services.
The Colombian has become one of the most-sought after players following a brilliant start to his career in Portugal and he yesterday hinted at a big club move.
And while a number of Premier League sides are believed to be keen, Serie A giants Napoli have already made concrete moves.
“Napoli have been concrete, they tried to negotiate, but Porto didn’t want to hear about it, because they wanted me to stay,” Martinez confessed to Portuguese daily O Jogo.
The Azzurri are expected to return for the 27-year-old striker as Rafael Benitez wants to pair him with summer signing Gonzalo Higuain.
Having bagged 26 league goals last term, Martinez has continued his rich vein of form, netting 7 times in 9 league matches this season.
The forward will have a perfect chance to showcase his skills when Colombia face Belgium in an international friendly this evening, with Martinez no less than 10/3 to score anytime.
