The Mirror understands that Everton manager Roberto Marrtinez is plotting a summer move from Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony.
The Toffee’s look set to lose Belgium international Romelu Lukaku in the summer once his loan deal is complete, and Martinez has identified Bony as the ideal man to fill his goal-scoring boots.
Bony moved to the South Wales side from Vitesse Arnhem last summer, and has impressed with twenty goals in all competitions.
Meanwhile Lukaku, who with eleven Premier League goals has the same amount as Bony, is expected to either return to Stamford Bridge, or be sold for a hefty fee.
Both strikers scored in Saturday’s match at Goodison Park, where the Toffee’s ran out 3-2 winners to keep alive their hopes of finishing in the top four.
The Merseyside club, who have won their last three league games, can move above Tottehnam Hotspur into fifth place if they beat Newcastle United tomorrow evening.
