Martinez set to strengthen in the summer

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is ready to make as many as six additions to his squad in the summer, according to the Mail Online.

The Merseyside club are almost certain of a return to European competition next season with a top six finish looking likely, while they are also in control of their own destiny regarding qualification for the Champions League.

They are currently six points behind fourth place Arsenal with a game in hand, and face the Gunners at Goodison Park a week on Sunday.

Martinez knows that with the expected extra games his squad needs more depth and the Spaniard has identified a number of targets for when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.

The Toffees travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon looking for a fifth straight Premier League victory and can be backed at a price of 4/5 to take all three points.
