Martinez to Barcelona talks continue

According to a recent report from Sport, Lautaro Martinez’s agent is set to meet with Barcelona officials in the next few days.

The reason for this is clear – the Inter Milan forward is on the verge of swapping the San Siro for the Nou Camp. He’s been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish giants for months now, and it finally seems as if there’s some movement happening between both parties.

Barca look set to bring in a new striker of some description this summer as they prepare for the departure of Luis Suarez, and given how much interest they’ve given to Martinez, it makes sense that he would be their number one pick.

The 23-year-old has already made a pretty big splash in European football but if he wants to take his game to the next level, serving as Barcelona’s main man alongside Lionel Messi next season is a great way to do it.
