Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mandla Masango says there is still room for improvement despite regaining his regular staring position.
The 22-year-old, who has represented South Africa at Under-23 level, has scored two goals in his last five starts for the Chiefs, who trail Premier Soccer League leaders the Mamelodi Sundowns by three points.
“I’m happy to be playing regularly. I actually have mixed emotions,” Masango told KickOff.com.
“Sometimes I’m sad because my aim is to score in every game and that has not happened so there is obviously room for improvement in my game, but I’m happier to be helping the team. I’m really happy and obviously I want to keep my place in the team.”
“I have been working hard all along and I believe it is starting to show because I’m playing well. I can only get better from here.”
The Chiefs next challenge is a crucial match against fifth-placed Ajax Cape Town, who they lead by just two points on the table.
