According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mail, Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano has made it clear to Real Madrid that he has no desire to join them at the end of the season.

It is thought that Florentino Perez will return as president of los Blancos this summer and will launch an ambitious raid on some of the world’s top attacking football players, including Milan’s Kaka, Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas.

Apparently, Argentina international Mascherano has been identified as the ideal midfield linchpin to partner los Merengues’ current holding player, Lassana Diarra.
