Mata heading back to Valencia?

According to a recent report from The Guardian, Juan Mata may make his way back over to Valencia at the end of the season.

After a decade in the Premier League, Mata’s stay in England could finally be coming to an end with a move back to Spain being on the cards. The 32-year-old has had a fantastic stint in this country with Chelsea and Manchester United, but it appears as if he’s leaning towards a homeland return for the final few years of his elite-level career.

Manchester United, who currently lead the way at the top of the Premier League table, quite clearly possess the ability to go on and win this league title – but they need to trim down their squad if they’re serious about maintaining this new spot under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Mata has given them many great memories over the years, but it may finally be time to move on.
