Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini is set to join Crystal Palace on a free transfer, Sky Sports can reveal.
The Eagles manager Alan Pardew moved to confirm he was keen on the Frenchman, and it appears an agreement has since been reached.
Flamini is currently undergoing a medical and is expected to sign a deal by the end of the day despite the fact that Crystal Palace face competition from other clubs.
Alan Pardew believes the Frenchman will become a genuine leader at Selhurst Park and help his side improve on the disappointing start to the season.
Mathieu Flamini, 32, has only represented Arsenal and AC Milan so far, and he made a total of 66 Premier League appearances during his second stint with the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger opted against offering him a new contract this summer, meaning the holding midfielder is now a free agent and will be joining Palace on a Bosman deal.
