Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has set out to rebuild his career after months without competitive football.
The 33-year-old French midfielder is currently a free agent following his short-term stint at Crystal Palace which ended back in June.
Flamini has failed to find a new club ever since his Selhurst Park departure and will be given a chance to start fresh in the second tier of the Spanish football with Rayo Vallecano according to reports from Radio Marca.
Former Gunners midfielder is due to report to Vallecas this week to commence a trial with the La Liga 123 side, hoping that he could be given an opportunity to sign a deal with the club and help them win promotion to the first tier.
Rayo Vallecano are coming off from a 1-0 victory over Barcelona B which allowed them to move into the playoff positions and Flamini’s experience could be of vital importance for Michel’s side.
