France Football has learned that Sevilla are keeping close tabs on Marseille star Mathieu Valbuena.
Los Rojiblancos see the France international as a perfect replacement for Ivan Rakitic, and they are eager to lure him to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this summer.
Given club’s financial difficulties, Sevilla officials have been delighted to hear that asking price stands at mere €5 million.
After spending the majority of his professional career at Stade Velodrome, the 29-year-old is ready to embark on a new challenge, with Fiorentina, Napoli and Inter interested as well.
His strong performances for France at the 2014 World Cup have made everyone stand up and take notice, so it is clear he will have no problems finding a new club.
Valbuena will be in the starting line up when Les Bleus take on Nigeria in the Last 16 stage, with France 1/2 favourites to win the match in regulation time.
