Matic linked with Manchester United switch

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic could be set to secure a move to Manchester United, according to the Mail Online.

The Serbia international is set to call time on his time on Stamford Bridge, and the potential move to Old Trafford could see him reunite with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho, who is expected to be named as Louis van Gaal’s replacement in the next few days.

Matic returned to Chelsea for a second spell in January 2014 having played for them before moving to Benfica in 2011.

In total, he has racked up one hundred and eleven appearances for the London club, scoring five goals and was part of the squad that won both the Premier League title and League Cup in 2015.

Internationally, he has been capped twenty-eight times for Serbia, scoring his one and only goal for his country so far in a 2-1 defeat to Portugal last March.
