Tuttosport is reporting that striker Alessandro Matri is undergoing a medical at San Siro ahead of his switch from Juventus.
The experienced forward was given permission to travel to Milano after the two clubs reached an agreement over the transfer fee and he is expected to put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Rossoneri later today.
Milan officials have been attempting to sign the player for several weeks now, but they only decided to make that extra effort after selling Kevin-Prince Boateng to Schalke.
Matri is thus set to be reunited with boss Max Allegri, who coached him at Cagliari and no doubt he will be immediately challenging for starting places.
The 29-year-old, who spent four years with the Isolani before joining Juventus in January 2011, went on to make 69 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring 27 goals and winning two league titles in the process.
