Borussia M’gladbach are considering a summer move on Borussia Dortmund defender Matthias Ginter, Sport Bild has suggested.
The 21-year-old only joined the Millionaires from Freiburg last summer, but he has largely struggled to prove his worth at Signal-Iduna Park.
And with both Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic staying at the club, Borussia might be prepared to offload the Germany international.
At the same time, Borussia M’gladbach plan to take advantage of the situation and add Ginter to their ranks, with die Fohlen pondering a season-long loan for the highly rated defender.
However, Sport Bild claims that Dortmund would prefer an outright sale and they value the player at €10 million.
Matthias Ginter showed a great deal of promise while at Freiburg, making 70 Bundesliga appearances before signing a lucrative deal with Borussia.
However, he has since started mere nine league fixtures, while making another five substitute appearances for the Millionaires.
