Those are the words of Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt, who has admitted that he isn’t quite sure which direction he’s going to go in when it comes to his future. It’s no secret that the Dutchman is in high demand, with a variety of high profile European clubs being interested in securing his services. On top of that, Sky Italy are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are actually now the favourites to secure his signature, which would most certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons.
Matthijs is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the world already, and given how much longer he’s got left to develop and improve his game, that should be seen as a scary prospect for any team he comes up against.
