Matuidi dismisses PSG links

“All that talk in the papers of PSG was not true. I’ve always said I’m happy at Juve, one of the best clubs in the world”.

Those are the words of Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi, who made it known that Paris Saint-Germain did not try and go after him during the recent summer transfer window. Matuidi had been heavily linked with a move away to a series of potential European clubs, but it was never quite clear one way or the other whether or not Juventus wanted to keep hold of him.

Matuidi himself is committed to the idea of keeping the Italian champions on top of the mountain, as opposed to joining PSG, who already had a pretty good transfer window themselves.

As we look ahead to January, though, there’s every chance that the French side could go after him once again.

Also, there’s every chance that Matuidi is exaggerating his side of the story.
