Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has made it clear that he has no plans to quit Parc des Princes at the end of the season.
The France international has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers following some impressive displays in French Ligue 1 and Champions League.
He is believed to have a long list of suitors in English Premier League, some of whom have been linked with a summer move for his services, but Matuidi seems determined to remain with the Saints for the foreseeable future.
The 27-year-old has poured cold water on speculation linking him with a summer exit by committing his future to Paris Saint-Germain.
“I feel very good in Paris. I can assure you that I will definitely be at PSG next season,” Matuidi told Le Parisien.
Matuidi proved his worth to the club by extending his contract until June 2018 despite heavy interest from abroad and he is looking forward to helping the Saints challenge for major honours.
After making it to the Champions League quarter-finals, PSG also climbed to the Ligue 1 summit and are now 7/25 favourites to defend the league trophy.
