Matuidi set for Juventus extension?

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Juventus are entertaining the idea of offering Blaise Matuidi a contract extension with the club. Not so long ago it was heavily reported that Matuidi was no longer going to be a featured member of the first team plans with the Italian champions, to the point where Juve were going out of their way to try and sell him. Alas, that is no longer the case, and it seems as if Matuidi is edging closer and closer towards committing his long term future to the club.

The man himself was always pretty fair when it came to discussing the speculation, and largely kept his head down in order to focus on the task at hand. Now, it appears as if he’s going to be rewarded for that – but he still needs to back it up and prove to Juve that he is worth their time and effort.
