Mauricio Pochettino wants Chelsea to sign Goncalo Inacio

Chelsea are interested in signing Goncalo Inacio from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has told the Blues to get a deal done for the 22-year-old Portugal international centre-back in the middle of the season.

Inacio is one of the best young centre-backs in Europe and is a hugely promising player. The 22-year-old has played three times for Portugal and has also become a regular in the Sporting first team. The youngster has made four appearances in the Portuguese league so far this season. Inacio made 26 starts and seven substitute appearances in the league last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process.

Chelsea are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with four points from four matches. Meanwhile, Sporting currently find themselves third in the Portuguese Primeira Liga standings with 10 points from four matches, level on points with Boavista and FC Porto, who are first and second respectively.
